Tanner Evan Starkey Flaherty

I remember the first time Tanner and I actually talked in my Enviornmental Ed class, He was sitting next to my best friend and kept taking her I-pod and changing her songs, So, being a huge music nerd I took his I-pod and changed his song. At first he was kind of dumb-founded at what I had just done, But we quickly became friends, Everyday in class we would mess with eachother's I-pod's, Laughing and fighting about about what music was better and what bands we needed to get. I believe music is what brought us together, And music is actually how I told him I would date him, I told him to look up the title of a Jason Mraz song and read it back to me, It was I'm Yours, And as soon as he read it out loud to me, He got a HUGE smile on his face. Everytime I hear that song I think of Tanner, And I know he can here it up in Heaven.

It was a rarity that a Super Saturday at the Starkey household was missed.   Since Tanner was little, we watched Notre Dame football.  Every Saturday during football season, I would make whatever snacks Tanner wanted and we would feast and watch the game.  One of our rituals was to never take one bite until after the kickoff, no ifs, ands, or buts!  It was sort of awful of us, but you really had to be an Notre Dame fan to partake in this event with us.  We took our ND football very serious and if you cut up during the game, you more than likely would not get a 2nd invitation.  LOL!  I am really going to miss you in the coming seasons, but I know you are going to rally the fans in heaven!!!   GO IRISH!
